Prior to founding L-GAM, Mr. Alexandre was Head of Corporate Investment at Investcorp in London. Mr. Alexandre joined Investcorp in 1997, where he developed deal sourcing activities and led transactions in most European countries. He has served on the Management Committee since 2000, and was subsequently a member of the Global Investment Committee and of selected Commitment Committees.
Prior to joining Investcorp, he worked for over twelve years in investment banks including among others, The First Boston Corporation and Goldman Sachs in New York and in London. Mr. Alexandre specialised in mergers and acquisitions and has been involved in a wide range of international transactions.
He is a French national and holds an MSc from HEC School of Management in Paris, France.
Prior to founding L-GAM, Mr. Grimaldi was Managing Director at Bain Capital in London. Between 2002 and 2008 he helped establish the firm as one of the leading private equity players in Europe.
Previously, Mr. Grimaldi was at Investcorp in London, having joined as a Principal in 1996 to become a member of the Management Committee in 2000. Prior to joining Investcorp, Mr Grimaldi was a Principal at Chase Capital Partners and its predecessor Chemical Venture Partners. Mr. Grimaldi started his career as a fixed income trader and in leveraged lending at Banco di Roma and Manufacturers Hanover Trust.
He is an Italian national and holds a University Degree in Economics from Bocconi University and an M.B.A. from Insead.
Felipe Merry del ValPartner
Prior to founding L-GAM, Mr. Merry del Val was a Managing Director at Bain Capital London. Mr. Merry del Val joined Bain Capital in January 2006 where he sourced and led deals across a number of European countries, helping affirm Bain Capital as one of the leading private equity players on the Continent.
Prior to joining Bain Capital Felipe was a Principal at Investcorp in London which he joined in 1994. Before joining Investcorp, he worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in London.
He is Italian/Spanish and holds a University Degree in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, and a "MIM" awarded by the Community of European Management Schools "CEMS".
Prior to his current role at L-GAM, Mr. Bertrand was a Principal at Bain Capital in London and Boston (until May 2013). Mr. Bertrand joined Bain Capital in 2004, where he executed transactions in Europe and in the US.
Prior to Bain Capital, Mr. Bertrand was a consultant at Bain & Company where he consulted in the consumer products, automotive and financial services industries.
Mr. Bertrand is a French and German national and received an M.B.A from Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. He also received an MSc from HEC School of Management in Paris, France.
Prior to joining L-GAM, Mr. Soso was Group Chief Financial Officer at Charles Taylor plc, a global insurance services provider listed on the London stock exchange. Previously, Mr. Soso was a Managing Director at Investcorp, where he was in charge of portfolio operations in Europe. During the ten years he spent with Investcorp, he was responsible for driving growth and operational improvement initiatives in portfolio companies in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. Before then he worked for five years at McKinsey & Company serving private equity and industrial clients, and eight years with the Schindler Group, where he held various finance, commercial and divisional operational management roles in Switzerland, Central Europe and the UK.
He is an Italian and Swiss national and holds an MA in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland.
Prior to his current role at L-GAM, Mr. Gerhardt was a Vice President at Bain Capital in London. Mr Gerhardt joined Bain Capital in 2009, where he executed transactions in Europe and in the US.
Prior to Bain Capital, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Germany, where he advised clients in the automotive, industrials and TMT sectors.
Mr. Gerhardt holds a MBA from Harvard Business School and a University Degree in Business Administration from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in Germany.
Prior to joining L-GAM, Mr. Zejermann was an Associate in the Portfolio Operations team at The Gores Group, a Los Angeles based private equity firm where we worked on post acquisition value creation opportunities across Europe. Before then, he was a case team leader at Bain & Company in London. While at Bain, he worked in the San Francisco, Johannesburg, Dubai, and Delhi offices, where he focussed on the industrials and resources sectors, as well as completing private equity due diligence work across various sectors.
Mr. Zejermann is a German and Australian national and holds an MSc. in Finance from the London School of Economics, and a degree in Business Studies from the Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt in Germany.
Bernardo AitoVice President
Bernardo joined L-GAM in 2016. Prior to joining L-GAM, Bernardo was an Associate in the M&A and UK Investment Banking teams at Nomura in London, where he worked on a range of M&A and capital markets transactions focusing on the consumer, retail and media industries.
Bernardo is an Italian national. He received a MSc in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a degree in Economics from the University of Florence in Italy.
Jon IturriagaVice President
Before joining L-GAM, Mr. Iturriaga was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company in London. Mr. Iturriaga joined McKinsey & Company in 2013, where he advised clients in the energy, industrials and TTL sectors.
Prior to McKinsey & Company, Mr. Iturriaga was a Project Manager at Bouygues UK where he developed PFI projects for the UK Government in the healthcare and education sectors.
Mr. Iturriaga is a Spanish national and received an MBA from Columbia Business School. He also holds an MSc. in Civil Engineering from the ESTP (Paris, France) and from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Valencia, Spain).
Deanna ZhangSenior Associate
Prior to joining L-GAM, Ms. Zhang was an Investment Manager with LGT Impact Ventures, the growth capital and social finance arm of LGT Group, where she managed and executed investments in Latin America.
Before that, she was a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, working across the firm's Southeast Asia, Munich, and Dubai offices in the automotive, consumer, telecommunications, energy, healthcare, and public sectors.
Ms. Zhang holds a MBA from the Wharton School of Business, an MPA/ID from Harvard University, and a dual BA degree in Human Biology and International Relations from Stanford University in the United States.
Paul ArhanchiagueSenior Associate
Prior to his current role at L-GAM, Mr. Arhanchiague was a consultant at Roland Berger in Paris, which he joined in 2013. While at Roland Berger, he also worked in the Singapore and Istanbul offices and completed private equity due diligence work mainly in the industrials, consumer and tourism sectors.
Paul is a French national. He received a MSc from HEC School of Management in Paris, France. He also received a LLM in Corporate & Tax law from University of Paris La Sorbonne.
Maximilian StoiberSenior Associate
Mr. Stoiber joined the L-GAM team in 2018. Before joining, Mr. Stoiber was a Junior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company in their Munich Office. His work spanned the private equity, telecom & media, automotive, and speciality chemicals sectors across Europe and Asia.
Mr. Stoiber is a German national. He holds an MBA with Distinction from the Wharton School, and a BSc with Honours in International Politics from Georgetown University.
Prior to his current role at L-GAM, Mr. Laidi worked for financial technology start-up Funding Circle in London where he focused on corporate strategy. Prior to this, André was working as a consultant for Roland Berger, Paris, completing private equity due diligences and operational improvement projects for Media & Entertainment, Tourism and Industrial clients.
André is a French and Swiss national. He received an MSc from ESSEC Business School in Paris. He also received an LLM in Corporate and Business Law from University of Paris La Sorbonne.
Aled JonesCFO, compliance
Prior to joining L-GAM, Mr Jones worked as Head of Finance at Lion Capital and in KPMG's Private Equity Group where he had responsibility for a broad range of investment clients. He previously worked in KPMG's Financial Services Group. His experience covers all stages of the private equity fund life cycle and he has completed a wide range of work and transaction related assignments all over the world.
Mr Jones is a Chartered Accountant (Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and holds a BSc in Economics from University College London.
Linda WaltonExecutive Assistant
Ms Walton has more than 14 years' experience of working in Private Equity, most of them with Investcorp in London. Linda has a BA Hons. in Political Theory and Institutions from Liverpool University.
Prior to joining L-GAM, Mr Simler was a Principal at AEA Investors in Munich and in London (until August 2018). Mr Simler joined AEA in 2013 and was responsible for AEA's activities in the German-speaking region, including the company's Munich office.
Before joining AEA, Mr Simler worked at Investcorp in London (since 2005) where he was involved in deal sourcing activities and various transactions in the DACH region, Italy and the UK, with a focus on the industrials and business services sectors. Prior to Investcorp, Mr Simler worked for UBS Investment Bank where he was involved in a range of pan-European M&A transactions in the capital goods industry.
Mr Simler is a German national and holds a BA in International Business, Finance & Economics from the University of Manchester (UK). He is also a US-GAAP certified accountant (CPA).
